To achieve this, he said, the district would be guided by a four year strategic development plan.

Hon. Arthur said this during the 6th ordinary meeting of the 7th session of the Wassa East District Assembly at Daboase in the Western Region.

He said the four area councils made up of Daboase, Ekutuase, Ateiku and Enyinabrim were being resourced to energize unit committee members in all the communities to live up to their responsibilities.

“Nananom, Community leaders, family leaders, the clergy, teachers and especially our women, farmers and youth are going to experience a new Wassa East District Assembly Service soon”.

He said the people should expect more collaboration with the community information centers across the district to help disseminate the assembly’s projects and programmes, adding that this would go alongside with the usual engagement of Assembly members with their electorates.

Hon. Arthur said with the support of the electorates the Assembly would work hard to create a prosperous local economy anchored by local champion investors, “we will develop our tourism, culture, creative art and sports industries.

On Revenue, the DCE said the total revenue received by the assembly in 2016 stood at
